JOB SUMMARY: A Panel Technician manufactures flat composite panels from raw materials, such as fiberglass/carbon reinforced skins and nomex, kevlar, or aluminum honeycomb cores.
*This is a temp-to-hire position*
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read basic work instructions, drawings, and diagrams in English
Document details of work performed as required on work orders/travelers, including monitoring and recording material shelf life/ out life, lot number, and quantity used
Apply basic shop math skills
Adherence to all company policies and procedures
Complete high-quality work in a fast paced environment
Maintain a clean working environment in order to consistently product aerospace quality parts.
Prepare caul sheets or tools for lay-up by cleaning and releasing as required.
Measure and use cutting instruments to cut pre-preg materials or film adhesive based on work order and drawing requirements
Assemble panel materials, caul sheets, and release paper as applicable per drawing and specification requirements
Properly prepare the panels before pressing, pre-cut the materials used for pressing and core dehumidification per the static plan instructions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma is desired.
Skills:
Basic math, addition and subtraction
Preferred: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Works with supervisor to execute tasks that comply with instructions or pre-determined processes, methods, and/or practices

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION
Direction is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship. Work is reviewed upon completion on how well tasks have been completed. Will autonomously work on routine tasks with frequent status updates with supervisor. Will be provided with additional guidance on more complex or non-routine tasks.
PAY RATE: $15.50 to $18.00
