JOB SUMMARY: The EHS Manager is responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of EHS programs for Southern California BEI locations.
JOB DUTIES:
Maintains site compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (including, but not limited to OSHA/CAL OSHA, EPA, DTSC, AQMD, SWRCB).
Ensure site compliance with Boeing's Safety and Environmental standards.
Maintains emergency preparedness plans and coordinates emergency drills and exerci.
Acts as the primary site interface with regulatory
Develop and conduct EHS training.
Manages hazardous waste management program.
Implement and maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention
Lead the injury response process.
Manages OSHA reporting and recordkeeping.
Lead the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action
Maintain the SOS management
Performs periodic, site-wide and area-specific safety compliance evaluations and audits
Track and assist with safety-related preventative maintenance such as signage, fire extinguisher, AED and emergency eye wash, etc.
Evaluate work processes for hazards and risk factors. Propose mitigation
Generates and publishes EHS KPl's
Establish PPE requirements
Facilitates site Safety Programs.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental health and safety or a closely related field).

EXPERIENCE:
2+ years related EHS experience in manufacturing environment
SKILLS:
In-Depth knowledge of OSHA standards and reporting requirements
In-Depth knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, SWRCB, SCAQMD) as well as permitting/reporting requirements
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a manufacturing facility
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with Management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power-Point
OTHER:
Extended or irregular hours may be required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
