JOB SUMMARY:
With a lot of sweat, equity, love, and a mission that resonates with the public, Monkey Business Café has become a fixture in the Fullerton community. Today, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offer on-line ordering and catering. They also have a Monkey Business product line of seasonings and fresh treats using ingredients they harvest at the Fullerton Arboretum.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the cold line
Food preparation and portioning prior to service
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Processing of incoming food and supply shipments
Assist in the execution of dishwashing, kitchen prep, hot and cold line functions
Assist the Sous Chef
SKILLS DEVELOPED OVER WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preparation of cooking and serving the food
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation of cleaning and care of utensils, equipment, and work area
Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the cold line
Processing of incoming food and supply shipments
Customer service
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates
Maintain a positive attitude while being a team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, crawling, reaching, handing, pushing, and pulling
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and withstand heat
