Job Summary: The City of Laguna Beach is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity through complex accounting tasks such as preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial records and reports.
Ideal candidates will bring strong technical accounting knowledge—preferably in a government setting—along with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, preferably in government accounting
License: CPA preferred, not required
Equivalency: CPA license or a Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for up to two years of experience
