Job Summary:
Community Outreach Alliance (COA) is a non-profit organization in San Clemente that provides healthy opportunities and resources for the youth and community. They offer free food distributions, music outreach for youth and young adults, and partner with community resources to support youth, families, military personnel, and seniors in staying healthy and active. The Event Assistant will support the day-to-day operations and ongoing initiatives of the Development Event Manager. This role includes maintaining event documents and spreadsheets, assisting with communications to event guests and volunteers. Attend in person events and help with organization and updates. Performing
other assigned duties.
Essential Job Duties:
Contacting and collecting guest lists, guest contact information from event attendees
Collecting and uploading event images into Google Drive.
Fill out and/or collect donation forms from donors.
Assist with contacting people to volunteer for events.
Update event operations binders with relevant materials.
Act as Volunteer Lead at events.
Attend Board meetings 1x per month via zoom every 3rd Tuesday and interact with leadership.
Check in with Team leads to give updates.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Google Apps for Work, Microsoft Office and general database experience preferred.
Detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, outgoing, organized, team player and flexible.
Must understand the need for discretion and extreme privacy for clients and donors.
A strong heart for philanthropy is required.

Assist with contacting people to volunteer for events.
Update event operations binders with relevant materials.
Act as Volunteer Lead at events.
Work with COA Entertainment led to get details and instructions for events.
Hours of Operation:
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week
8:30 am – 5:00 pm, twice a week.
Potential for 2-3 offsite events in San Clemente.
Schedule will be known in advance and adjusted accordingly.
