The Parts Runner is responsible for pulling and delivering requested repair parts to the technicians to facilitate the repair process.
Essential job duties:
Provide quick, courteous, professional, and efficient service to all Service Technicians
Pick up and/or deliver parts to designated accounts when instructed by the parts or service departments
Tag and stamp warranty and core parts for RO’s, both customer pay and warranty
Return used warranty parts to proper storage area with parts properly tagged
Return any new, unused parts back to bin location when not needed
Correctly pull parts both by bin and parts numbers to ensure correct quantity and accurate parts to be handed out
Maintain inventory on shelves and identifying any discrepancies in stocking levels returning unsold items to their proper locations
Advise Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition
Participate in daily or other physical inventories as needed
Use all appropriate security measures and procedures to safeguard company assets
Ensures that areas of the parts department are properly stocked
Assist in opening the retail area each day in closing the warehouse at the end of the day
Participate in all training programs that are made available as applicable
Adhere to work schedule, arrive at work before your scheduled start time, and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time, making sure to clock in and out
Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required
Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy
Exemplifies organizational culture and holds other in department accountable for doing the same
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic math and reading skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Explorer, ADP, Compli, MapQuest, Shelly Extranet
Basic office equipment including telephone, fax, copier, scanner, calculator; dollies and pallet jacks
Must have a valid California Driver’s License that is insurable at all times
Maintain an accident-free driving record adhering to all driving safety standards established by the DMV
Education Requirements:
The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform the duties required of this position is a G.E.D. or high school diploma.
Experience Requirements:
No minimum experience is required to successfully perform the duties required of this position.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to comfortably stand, walk, sit, bend, grasp, talk, hear, see and have regular attendance to perform work
Required to use hands and fingers
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
An employee in this position will be required to work in the following environments: standard office, equipment and machinery, and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level will be moderate.
