The Shipping/Receiving/Warranty Clerk is responsible for the Parts Warranty Department inventory.
Essential job duties:
Responsible to receive all parts orders; check for accuracy, scan into inventory and stock into parts shelves and bins
Ensure that claims are made for any damaged parts received in the parts order
Ensure that all damaged parts received are re-ordered immediately
Responsible to return all warranty parts and to scrap warranty parts as directed by the manufacturer
Maintain an accurate inventory of all parts
Respond to Pull Orders by pulling the specific parts indicated
Ensure all parts designated as scrap are pulled and properly disposed of
Ensure new inventory parts have adequate shelf and/or bin locations and that the new locations are properly marked
Accurately compare part numbers and part names to printed invoices and order forms
Count, weigh, and measure parts
Deliver parts to other dealers as requested
Provide back-up for the front and back counters as needed
Maintain shipping and receiving logs on a computer terminal and complete departmental paperwork from them
Effectively and accurately complete return or delivery paperwork
Determine best method of shipment, calculates shipping charges, packages material being shipped and constructs shipping container for parts to send to correct consignee
Participate in all training programs that are made available as applicable
Adhere to work schedule, arrive at work before your scheduled start time, and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time, making sure to clock in and out
Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy
Exemplifies organizational culture and holds other in department accountable for doing the same
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic math and reading skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Explorer, ADP, Compli, MapQuest, Shelly Extranet
Basic office equipment including telephone, fax, copier, scanner, calculator
Must have a valid California Driver’s License that is insurable at all times
Maintain an accident-free driving record adhering to all driving safety standards established by the DMV
Education Requirements:
The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform the duties required of this position is a G.E.D. or high school diploma.
Experience Requirements:
The minimum experience requirement to successfully perform the duties required of this position is one to three years.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to comfortably stand, walk, sit, bend, grasp, talk, hear, see and have regular attendance to perform work
Required to use hands and fingers
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
An employee in this position will be required to work in the following environments: standard office, equipment and machinery, and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level will be moderate.
