JOB SUMMARY:

With a lot of sweat, equity, love, and a mission that resonates with the public, Monkey Business Café has become a fixture in the Fullerton community. Today, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offer on-line ordering and catering. They also have a Monkey Business product line of seasonings and fresh treats using ingredients they harvest at the Fullerton Arboretum.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pre-bus tables when plates are empty

  • Assist with drink refills

  • Check/restock/clean the restrooms every hour

  • Wipe down the counters and restock cups

  • When customers leave:

  • Bus all plates and cups

  • Clear all table condiments and bring to the host

  • Wipe down entire table

  • Sweep around tables

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances

  • Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time

  • Must pass background check and random drug tests

SKILLS DEVELOPED OVER WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Customer service skills

  • ServSafe Food Handlers, certificate training

  • POS system training

  • Restaurant day to day operations

  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation of cleaning and care of utensils, equipment, and work area

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, crawling, reaching, handing, pushing, and pulling

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and withstand heat
