JOB SUMMARY: With a lot of sweat, equity, love, and a mission that resonates with the public, Monkey Business Café has become a fixture in the Fullerton community. Today, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offer on-line ordering and catering. They also have a Monkey Business product line of seasonings and fresh treats using ingredients they harvest at the Fullerton Arboretum
Essential job duties:
Greet and seat customers
Assure that customers receive menus, utensils and drinks delivered within 2 minutes of being seated
Take food orders and give table numbers
Deliver good customer service consistently
Check tables regularly for drinks, refills, and pre-bussing
Polish flatware
Deliver food to tables
Suggest additional food items/specials
Focus on customer needs
Cash and media handling
Communicate with Manager
Training and mentorship
Skills developed over Transitional Job:
• Customer service skills
• ServSafe Food Handlers, certificate training
• POS system training
• Restaurant day to day operations
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation of cleaning and care of utensils, equipment, and work area
Physical Requirements:
Walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, crawling, reaching, handing, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift a minimum 50 pounds
