Job Summary:

Montevideo Law, PC dba Dog Bite Law Group is looking for an experienced and organized Legal Case Manager who has a heart to help people and an ability to think critically and problem solve and can be trusted to follow through on their work to completion. Our firm’s core objectives are to help our clients through a dark time and ensure justice for the trauma they have suffered – the Legal Case Manager is essential in fulfilling these values. The ideal candidate is able to build positive relationships with clients and other professionals and effectively manage multiple cases from opening to closing.


Pay Rate: Full-time hourly ($20-$30/hour depending on experience)


Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for successful case management from opening to closing of case

  • Client contact and client experience

  • Draft demands and letters

  • Request/collect medical history/chronology, photos, information and records from clients

  • Research and gather information and evidence for cases and potential cases

  • Set up and calendar client medical appointments

  • Contact potential witnesses and draft witness statements

  • Request/collect medical records/bills, Animal Control reports, and dog history records

  • Organize and assemble exhibits

  • Lien notice and negotiation

  • Track and manage statute of limitations

  • Track case costs and draft client disbursements and authorizations

  • Utilization of firm Salesforce CRM for all case matters and documentation

  • Remote work options available

  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-years' experience in the personal injury legal field

  • Pre-litigation experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Self-management and follow-up of tasks to full completion are essential

  • Hardworking and goal-oriented

  • Friendly, professional and courteous with ability to build positive relationships with clients and professionals

  • Highly organized, attention to detail, critical thinker and problem solver

  • Integrity, strong work ethic, and positive attitude, humility and willingness to learn

  • Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure

  • Must be able to deal with confidential information in a professional manner

  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Dropbox, Box, PDF editing software, DocuSign, Salesforce CRM, general internet research)

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required

  • Bilingual Spanish English is a strong plus

  • Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with a high rate of accuracy

  • Writing sample may be requested
