POSITION: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible to provide administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
COMPENSATION: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $20 to $23 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $45,600 and $57,465 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support including vendor maintenance, reconciliation of accounts, and resolving vendor queries.
Responsible for maintaining the vendor database.
Understand of the conversion from an invoice to a voucher.
Following terms and deadlines set forth by the department and MSI.
Monitoring vendor account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
Communicating with vendor via phone, mail, or personally
Follow established processes and procedures for petty cash, checks, corporate credit card usage and more.
Investigate and resolve vendor queries.
Process adjustments as necessary.
Responsible for clerical duties and covering our front desk reception as needed.
Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and/or college coursework preferred.
Two (2) plus years’ experience in a professional environment.

Knowledge of Accounts Payable
Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
Proficient in relevant computer applications; Intermediate Excel Skills.
