Summary: The responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving position include reviewing shipping orders on a tablet, verifying precise documentation, picking orders, pulling products, shrink-wrapping, and building pallets for shipment.

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19 to $22 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $61,000 and $79,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Accurately select flooring product orders, palletize, and shrink-wrap each order, ensuring secure handling of the heavy material.
Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.
Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents, gather, and maintain all data related to shipping activities.
Collect all documentation for outboard freight and route to the proper record-keeping unit.
Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations.
Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
Enhancing current warehouse layouts to include assigning more racks, paint striping, and hanging new address locations.
Updating system locations and accounting for physical material.
Follow physical inventory procedures to include counting and reconciliation process.
Maintaining daily log of all activities related throughout the day and sending details to lead /supervisor.
Become a process expert and travel to branches that are in need of warehouse staffing, fluctuations in inbound/outbound volume, reorganization of racking and bulk inventory areas etc.
Demonstrate proper usage of a measuring tape.
Travel domestically up to, but not limited to, 65-75% of the time.
Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
High School Education or equivalent required.
1-2 years of Warehouse experience
One (1) year of experience operating a Forklift.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must be flexible to work on weekends and travel domestically up to, but not limited to, 65-75% of the time.
Operate a scissor lift & be at high elevations (20' - 38')
Operate a sit-down forklift in order to load/offload and carefully stack material back into inventory.
Operate light and heavy machinery such as cut saw, power drill and impact driver to perform daily tasks of a new warehouse set-up.
Must be able to demonstrate how to read and operate a measuring tape.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs minimum.
Able to use a computer or tablet.
Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Provide high level of customer service.
