Summary: The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day to day transportation operations and courier workforce. This role will manage all aspects of transportation discipline including; safety, route structures, development, personnel scheduling, and workload assignments. Responsible for training, recruiting, counseling, coaching, disciplinary action and writing reviews. Process and approve payroll, time off requests and exceptions. Communicates effectively with front line regarding change procedures, initiatives and program roll outs. Work closely with outsourced vendors to maintain fleet in prescribed manner. Establish and manage proper workflow to ensure daily, weekly and monthly DOT, IFTA, IRP reporting and requirements are met.
Work Hours:Monday to Friday 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM and alternate Saturdays 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $23 to $27 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $74,465 and $87,285 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
·Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truck loads.
·Supervises the scheduling and dispatching of drivers to cover each truck load to ensure timely delivery.
·Ensure Branch distribution needs are being met.
·Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instruction for loading products.
·Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate delivery schedules.
·Arrange for necessary preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment and delivery vehicles.
·Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of all shipping documents, gathers, and maintains all data relative to shipping activities.
·Ensure shipment weight compliance, safety of the vehicles and ensure drivers are following DOT regulations.
·Collects all documentation for outbound freight and routes to the proper record keeping unit.
·Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
·Communicates effectively and regularly with the operations and sales teams to coordinate on time shipments.
·Perform other functions deemed necessary by the Operations Director.
·Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and Experience requirements
High School Education required College Education preferred.
1-2 years of Warehouse experience
1-2 years of Dispatch and/or Fleet experience
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Logistics Knowledge
Ability to use a computer and tablet
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Provide high level of customer service
This role has the following physical demands:
Generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force.
Able to lift and transfer 65lbs.
Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed.
Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder.
Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch.
Able to work at elevated height of 72” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment.
Able to work at lowered height of 6” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
