OC Public Works is seeking individuals for the Public Works Maintenance Worker II position. Under general supervision, the individual will be responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks in maintaining and repairing roads, flood control, and other public works facilities. This position will also support the activities of traffic control, road closures, and labor work during emergency situations that could cause harm or pose safety issues to the public. This may include performing emergency street, sewer, storm drain, and other public works maintenance work as required. This work generally requires some understanding of construction methods. Incumbents may be assigned to operate light construction equipment or vehicles as a regular part of the assignment.
