ABOUT US: Space-Lok, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality fasteners and multiple component mechanisms for all sectors of the aerospace industry.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, cutting, turning, facing and milling.
Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Check machines on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
Record all machine actions by completing production HR X HR and quality logs.
Provide timelines to supervisor.
Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
Ensure that results of machining process align with company expectations.
Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
Adhere to Space-Lok’s Employee Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
KEY SKILLS:
Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation.
A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
Organizational and time management skills.
Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Firm understanding of CNC programs including formatting and editing.
Ability to use various inspection gages.
Confidence to approach supervisor with suggestions to changes to processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
Basic computer knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of machining.
Minimum 3 years of setup experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant machine operations.
Able to Tool, Setup and Operate CNC MacInnes.
Technical or Trade School preferred.
Dynamic and energetic.
JOB TYPE: Full-time: 1st shift and 2nd shift
PAY: $22 - $24 / hour
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift or 10-hour shift, overtime and weekend availability. NOTE: 1st shift begins at 5:00 am and at 6:00 am. 2nd shift begins at 1:30 pm.
