ABOUT US: Space-Lok, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality fasteners and multiple component mechanisms for all sectors of the aerospace industry.
PURPOSE: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting all chemical, mechanical (tensile, shear, fatigue, torque, etc.) and metallurgical test for Space-Lok raw materials, component parts and finished goods. The required laboratory test reports are prepared and submitted.
NOTE: THIS IS FOR A 2ND SHIFT ROLE
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma ·
0-3 years of experience in Quality within a aerospace manufacturing organization
0-5 years aerospace laboratory testing experience (physical, metallographic/metallurgical, chemical)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Higher level degree (Associates, Bachelor’s)
Formal, certified training or experience in Inspection Methodologies and Lab Testing (mechanical & metallographic/metallurgical)
Experience in Aerospace Fastener manufacturing and Quality Management Systems
Higher level degree (Technical, Associates, Bachelor’s)
Formal, certified training or experience in Fastener inspection and testing methodologies
Metallurgist certification is a plus
JOB TYPE: Full-time: 2nd shift
PAY: $17 - $22 / hour
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift
