St. Nicks Christmas Lighting and Decor: DRIVER

RATE OF PAY: $19 - $22 Hourly


POSITION: We are seeking dependable and motivated workers to join our team as Drivers for the 2024-25 holiday season. The Driver at St. Nick's Christmas Lighting and Decor is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of decor from our warehouse to various SoCal destinations. This role requires excellent driving skills, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to provide top-notch customer service.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform pickups and deliveries.

  • Comply with road laws and safety regulations.

  • Follow handling instructions for various goods.

  • Plan or adjust routes based on conditions.

  • Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, refuel, and perform basic maintenance.

  • Notify the team of discrepancies, issues, or delays.

  • Track all assigned jobs.

  • Handle freight manually when necessary.

  • Take direction and work with minimal supervision.

  • Assist with driving, loading, and unloading box trucks, trailers, and pickup trucks.

  • Operate aerial lifts and other equipment safely; certification preferred.

  • Ensure the fleet, including box trucks, is well-maintained and operational.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

  • Must own a mobile phone.

  • Ability to handle physical workload quickly and safely.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Excellent driving and navigating skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent time-management skills.

Work Schedule: Flexible hours with night and weekend work opportunities.
