Position Summary:

This job posting is for job seekers that are interested in temporary Medical Front Office and Admitting Worker positions.

UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) continuously seeks applicants that are interested and available to work in Medical Front Office/Admitting Worker roles on temporary assignments at the UC Irvine campus in Irvine, the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and UCI satellite clinics. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates.

Duties for Admitting Worker Assignment:

  • Interviewing patients for admission to UCI medical facilities

  • Determining eligibility and assigning pay rates for patients accepted for care in the hospitals and clinics

  • Making financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients

  • Insurance verifications

  • Maintaining medical records

  • Scheduling

Compensation Range:

Minimum $20.85 Mid Point $22.99 Maximum $25.87

Required:

  • One year of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Data entry experience

  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Experience working in customer service environments
