Westminster School District: English Language Assessment Assistant

The following information was provided by Westminster School District.

THE POSITION: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Accountability and Assessments works with District personnel to administer student language skills testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: high school or equivalent and some experience working in an educational setting, including clerical/office experience or some computer/record keeping experience. Test administration experience is helpful.

THE EXAMINATION: Candidates may be examined on their knowledge of correct English usage in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; oral and written communication skills; office practices, procedures and equipment, including knowledge of a computer keyboard; ability to effectively communicate with students and adults and the ability to understand and follow both oral and written directions. Applications will be reviewed for

relevant education, experience, and training. Applicants whose qualifications meet the minimum requirements will be invited to a written examination and must receive a minimum 70% passing score. Candidates also will be given a performance examination interview which is scored pass/fail. You must receive a passing score on all parts of the examination process to be eligible for on-call employment. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable applicants with protected disabilities to participate in the employment selection process. Requests for accommodation must be received by the Personnel Commission Office three (3) business days before the accommodation is needed. You may be asked to provide verification of your disability.
