Westminster School District: Skilled Maintenance Worker HVAC

SALARY RANGE:

$5,419/month to $6,585/month in five annual steps


HOURS:

40 hour, 12-month/year position

6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday - Friday


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, Facilities Planning, Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation or designee, perform advanced-level work to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, balance and perform analysis on all types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment systems, designs, and applications.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school; and three (3) years experience as a journeyman heating and air conditioning mechanic.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  •  Possession and maintenance of a valid California Driver's

  • License EPA Technician Certificate

  • Insurability by the District’s insurance carrier.


THE EXAMINATION:


Candidates may be examined on their knowledge of record-keeping, filing systems, and clerical procedures, checking for general, technical, and statistical activities; basic arithmetic, proper English grammar, spelling, public contact work; and the ability to understand and interpret information, follow directions, and work well with others.
