JOB SUMMARY: The Verification Specialist I is a fundamental role in supporting our clients in their employment screening process. This position ensures that the required information is gathered efficiently, accurately, timely, professionally, and reported according to policy. The Verifications Specialist I works in a high-volume, team centered work environment and must provide a first-class experience for both the client and the candidate. This contact includes all resources such as, telephone, email, internet, etc. The Verification Specialist I is responsible for making a high volume of calls to verify the accuracy of the provided information. The Verifications Specialist I represents Americhek with every entry, contact, and conversation, therefore it is imperative that professionalism is always maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that duties are carried out professionally and in line with the priority to help the candidates get hired
Quickly and effectively research and verify facts provided by candidates to ensure the screening process is completed within Americhek’s strict timelines
Process background reports according to current reporting guidelines and standards
Follow scripts and guided call paths within the software platforms
Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all current guidelines
Ensure accurate and prompt turnaround on all reports
Escalate orders as appropriate
Communicate with candidates and peers with tact and diplomacy
Maintain a “continuous improvement” state of mind
Be open to cross-training in other functions outside immediate scope of responsibility
Assist team members and work as part of a team to ensure customers’ expectations are maintained and where possible, exceeded
Process mailings to candidates accurately and according to the FCRA and company requirements
Track and report results according to company guidelines and policies

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Ability to multi-task – read from notes/script and type at same time

Must be 21+ years old
