JOB SUMMARY:
An opportunity for those who want to begin a career in a new industry. Performance Installation Services will train new employees to install material storage and handling systems that improve the efficiency of their customers’ warehouse and distribution facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Install material storage and handling systems
Install and start-up automated conveyor belt and sortation systems, storage and retrieval systems
Install mezzanine and platform systems, and multiple warehouse pallet rack configurations
Train and certify in the operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, other mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP), and fall protection gear
Train in the operation of power tools including, but not limited to, rotary hammer drills, impact drivers, leveling lasers, grinders, and bandsaws
Train in the operation of hand tools including, but not limited to, imperial & metric wrenches/drivers/sockets, torque wrenches, levels, plumb bobs, screwdrivers, mallets, hammers, C-clamps, and others
Follow all safety protocols given by the foreman in and out of the work area
SKILLS DEVELOPED:
Proper use of personal protective equipment and OSHA- 10 certification
Installation of material storage and handling systems
Installation of and start-up automated conveyor belt and sortation systems, storage and retrieval systems
Installation of mezzanine and platform systems, and multiple warehouse pallet rack configurations
Train and certify in the operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, other mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP), and fall protection gear
Operation of power tools and hand tools
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must arrive to work at designated time
Must be a team player
Able to work in a face pace environment
WORKSITE LOCATION:
Main Office – 17260 Newhope St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708 Work Experience Site – Orange County. Actual worksite dependent on time of hire.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
In the event of a permanent hire post-Work Experience, Installers are required to travel across the country for installation projects ranging from 3-4 days to 4-5 months. Travel, lodging, and per diem are covered through Performance Plus
