Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to service the Chamber Membership and the general public, receive and assist members and visitors (both by phone and in-person) perform general office duties, assist management, perform social media management, and support the general planning, coordination, and implementation of Chamber programs and events.
Essential Job Duties:
Produce and process correspondence, answer incoming calls, provide accurate messages, receive visitors, and process office information and communications
Monitor customer service and step-in as needed to provide team support.
Maintain files and records, respond to standard and routine requests, respond to membership and general information inquiries, perform other support duties as assigned.
Send membership retention and renewal letters with billing statements and respond to inquiries from members and guests.
Perform membership database management/updates via ChamberMaster software program and organize staff training with ChamberMaster.
Support with finance-related items such as manage mileage reports, entering receipts, managing bank deposits, etc.
Take photos/videos at Chamber events and activities. Create reels that match Chamber brand.
Perform social media management by utilizing strong and innovative skills in Instagram platform.
Experiment with and utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT and other platforms to enhance marketing and communications.
In conjunction with management and marketing/events contractor, plan and execute social posts.
Support planning, coordination, and implementation of Chamber programs and events, alongside team. Events include Initiatives, Ribbon Cuttings, Board Meetings, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Present a positive and welcoming spirit with desire for coaching and development.
Perform as a team player; support others at all times.
Demonstrate ownership in work/organization and a can-do attitude.
Demonstrate strong verbal communication/interpersonal skills and a proficiency in written communications.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Experience with Instagram and Microsoft Office required. Personal experience acceptable.
Confidentiality in Chamber business information is crucial.
