Job Summary:

Cafe Biaani serves authentic Mexican breakfast and coffee with a warm, welcoming touch.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

  • Prepare food service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

  • Answer, report and follow restaurant owner’s instructions.

  • Clean up station and properly care for leftover food.

  • Dishwashing.  

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulation and safety standards.

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

  • Monitor and stock inventory to ensure necessary ingredients and supplies are always available.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and adhere to food safety regulations.

  • Implement cost-saving measures in the kitchen while ensuring quality of food is not compromised.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years or older and out of school.

  • Food Handlers Card required – can be obtained onsite after first day.

  • Non-slip shoes and jeans/black pants required. Shirts and aprons provided.

Work Experience Skills Developed:

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm

  • Saturday – Sunday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

  • Optional After-Hours Kitchen Prep: Tuesdays 1:00pm – 7:00pm and Thursdays 4:00pm – 9:00pm
