JOB SUMMARY:

Each child should receive individual attention, encouragement, support, and guidance. We strive to serve all children and constantly seek ways to accommodate the unique needs of children with disabilities.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Performs general clerical duties for the Child Development Program

  • Answers and directs calls or inquiries.

  • Assists the public over the telephone.

  • Processes confidential information and documents.

  • Complete data entry.

  • Maintains files and records.

  • Provide support to clerical team

  • Sorts and distributes mail.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

SKILLS LEARNED DURING WEX TRAINING:

  • Performs general clerical duties for the City of La Habra Child Development

  • Provide costumer service to families and employees in the community

  • Scan and upload documents.

  • Answers and directs calls or inquiries.

  • Work with a diverse customer base.

  • Work independently and proof own work.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with others.

  • Communicate effectively with the public and co-workers by providing excellent customer service to all those contacted in the course of performing job duties

  • Creates and maintains division files.

  • Prepares meeting agenda with management staff.

  • Speak in front of groups


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of personal computers and standard office equipment

  • Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling

  • Read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone

  • Work independently and proof your own work

  • Speak in front of groups

  • TB test, background check and drug test.
