JOB SUMMARY:
To support all aspects of food and diaper programs at all Friendly Center distribution sites and expand the programs as the agency grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all aspects of food, diaper, and hygiene program, including organization and distribution of items.
Oversee the stock and inventory of all food pantries and hygiene items.
Register and complete data entry of food and diaper clients and assist with other data entry as needed.
Attend all required meetings and training regarding proper food handling techniques.
Ensure compliance with OCHCA, food banks, and other partner agencies regarding safe food handling procedures, food storage, and all other protocols as required.
Assist with outreach to clients for distribution programs.
Work with volunteers for distribution events.
Maintain working relationships with internal teams (Information and Referral Specialist, Volunteer Specialist, and Site Coordinators), and external teams such as Community Action Partnership (CAP OC), Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County (SHFBOC), Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA)
Attend Friendly Center all-staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Acquire and maintain required certification in food handling.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
