Job Summary:
Grocery Outlet is looking for outgoing and dependable individuals to join their team as Cashiers. Cashiers are the face of their store, providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming shopping experience, maintaining an organized checkout area, and supporting daily store operations. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in representing a friendly, community-focused market.
Essential Job Duties:
Scanning all items presented for purchase
Informing customers of the benefit of the Grocery Outlet App
Bagging groceries
Making store announcements and using PA system to call managers for help
Counting money and giving correct change
Checking for counterfeit bills
Always keep cashier till and station sanitary
Facing product on shelf and making the store look great
Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
At least 18 years old
Can stand on your feet for a full shift (up to 8 hours with breaks and lunch)
Can lift up to 20 pounds consistently
Maintain a professional and positive attitude while in the store
Work Experience Skills Developed:
Scanning all items presented for purchase
Bagging groceries
Making store announcements and using PA system to call managers for help
Counting money and giving correct change
Checking for counterfeit bills
Facing product on shelf and making the store look great
