Job Summary:

Metro Bay Products, Inc. produces high quality, cost efficient plastic injection molded items.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor plastic molding machines (e.g., injection molding machines) according to work instructions, blueprints, or specifications. This involves adjusting machine settings like temperature, pressure, and cycle times.

  • Quality Control: Perform visual and gauge inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications, identifying and reporting defects.

  • Material Handling: Load plastic pellets into machines, remove finished products from the machine, process them for shipment or further finishing, and ensure proper packaging and labeling.

  • Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting any machinery issues.

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and plant safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and follow established documentation and procedures.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address minor machine malfunctions or issues that arise during operation.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Background check required

  • Great hand-eye coordination

  • Nimble, agile manual dexterity

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to work at a quick pace

  • Fluent in English, Spanish, or Vietnamese (third shift only)

Hours of Operation:

First Shift: 6:30am – 3:00pm

Second Shift: 2:30pm – 11:00pm

Third Shift: 10:30pm – 7:00am
