Job Summary:

With a lot of sweat, equity, love, and a mission that resonates with the public, Monkey Business Café has become a fixture in the Fullerton community. Today, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offer on-line ordering and catering. They also have a Monkey Business product line of seasonings and fresh treats using ingredients they harvest at the Fullerton Arboretum.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine

  • Sort and stack clean dishes

  • Carry clean dishes to cooks line and other proper storage areas

  • Rewash soiled dishes before delivering

  • Change dishwater in sinks every hour

  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand

  • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster

  • Setup and breakdown dishwashing area

  • Clean and replace mats daily

  • Sweep/Mop floors

  • Sweep up trash around the exterior of restaurant and dumpster

  • Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning

  • Wipe up spills

  • Other duties as directed

 

Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates

  • Maintain a positive attitude while being a team player

 

Work Experience Skills Developed:

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine

  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation of cleaning and care of utensils, equipment, and work area

  • Operating and handling of an industrial dishwasher

  • Setup and breakdown dishwashing area

  • General kitchen safety

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, crawling, reaching, handing, pushing, and pulling

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and withstand heat


Hours of Operation:

7 am - 2 pm
