Job Summary:
With a lot of sweat, equity, love, and a mission that resonates with the public, Monkey Business Café has become a fixture in the Fullerton community. Today, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offer on-line ordering and catering. They also have a Monkey Business product line of seasonings and fresh treats using ingredients they harvest at the Fullerton Arboretum.
Essential Job Duties:
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
Sort and stack clean dishes
Carry clean dishes to cooks line and other proper storage areas
Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
Change dishwater in sinks every hour
Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand
Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
Setup and breakdown dishwashing area
Clean and replace mats daily
Sweep/Mop floors
Sweep up trash around the exterior of restaurant and dumpster
Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning
Wipe up spills
Other duties as directed
Requirements/Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates
Maintain a positive attitude while being a team player
Work Experience Skills Developed:
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures used in food handling and in the operation of cleaning and care of utensils, equipment, and work area
Operating and handling of an industrial dishwasher
Setup and breakdown dishwashing area
General kitchen safety
Physical Requirements:
Walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying, crawling, reaching, handing, pushing, and pulling
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and withstand heat
Hours of Operation:
7 am - 2 pm
