Job Summary:
Moving Forward Psychological Institute, Inc. (MFPI), is committed to providing comprehensive, inclusive, and practice-and-evidence-based programs. Their programs and counseling approaches are unique and innovative with their focus on cultural competency and community healing.
Essential Job Duties:
Community mental health education dissemination
Case management assistance
Community outreach and engagement work including organizing health fairs and putting together mental health education classes
Field safety and crisis management basics and execution
Soft skills related to the mental health field and working in an office environment Recording keeping for administrative purposes
Regular check-ins with direct supervisor
Participation on learning activities centered on mental health
Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in community service.
Must be of good character: trustworthy, honest, mature, emotionally stable.
Must have great collaboration skills.
Bilingual in any language highly preferred.
Work Experience Skills Developed:
Capstone project demonstrating work experience gained over the course of the program.
Dissemination of community mental health education
Case management assistance
Community outreach and engagement work including organizing health fairs and putting
together mental health education classes
Field safety and crisis management basics and execution
Soft skills related to the mental health field and working in an office environment
Recording keeping for administrative purposes
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm
