JOB SUMMARY:

The OC United Events Intern is responsible for supporting the work done at OC United to host events for the community, program participants, and donors. The Events Intern will learn to plan, recruit and host fundraising events, assist in facilitating donor communications, and assist in volunteer efforts throughout the city.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Support United events staff as they plan and prepare for a variety of events

  • Plan, prepare, and execute different events (under guidance and support of staff)

  • Attend events, participate in all aspects on the day of the event and be flexible to help where needed

  • Communicate and prepare with the staff the needs and supplies necessary for events

  • Preparing mailings and other donor-related communications

  • Excels in both oral and written communication

  • Proficient interpersonal relationship skills

  • Proficient in basic computer platforms

  • Participation in OC United meetings and events

  • Regular community engagement

  • Network with partners


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excels in both oral and written communication

  • Proficient interpersonal relationship skills

  • Organized and timely

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Conflict resolution skills

  • Proficient in basic computer platforms

  • Physically able to lift, carry, and be on feet for extended periods

  • Ability to work well with others

  • Fluent in Spanish

  • Salesforce experience (preferred but not required)

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Monday - Friday: 9AM - 5PM
