The Role

As a Journeyman / Lead Painter, you’ll lead a two-person crew, working alongside and mentoring an apprentice to deliver top-quality workmanship and customer experience.


What You'll be Responsible for

● Reading and reviewing job scope in the HCP app prior to arrival

● Logging job status updates (on my way / start job / job finished) in the app

● Creating a plan for efficient execution of each project

● Picking up supplies as needed (with access to a company vehicle)

● Performing prep work, masking, cutting in, rolling, spraying, and cleanup

● Supervising and mentoring apprentices on-site

● Reporting scope changes or concerns to supervisors

● Representing our brand as “the best house guest ever”

● Following proper safety protocols on every job site

 

What We’re Looking For

● Minimum 4+ years professional painting experience (5+ preferred)

● Strong understanding of residential painting techniques and surface prep

● Some drywall repair and patching skills preferred

● Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example

● Reliable and punctual with a professional appearance

● Comfortable using mobile apps (especially HouseCall Pro)

● Must be 18 years or older

● Valid California Driver’s License required

● Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

● Working knowledge of OSHA job site safety protocols

● Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, ladders, outdoor conditions)


Compensation Package

● $26 to $32/hr, commensurate with experience
